About Life Poster
We are a small family run business based near Lymington, Hampshire. Life poster was born after creating a new and original way of displaying our digital photos – of which there are many! We have a selection of options which hopefully will allow you some flexibility with choosing your life poster, but not too much choice that you don’t know where to start! How it works:
What YOU need to do:
Browse our range of life poster photo collages and choose the one you like – or contact us to discuss a life poster to your specifications. Once you have placed your order, you will need to send us the correct amount of photos for the life poster you have chosen. You can do this via our secure upload system, or put your photos on a CD or a memory stick (we return memory sticks, but not CD’s). That’s it – we do the rest!
What WE do::
… your photos
Once we have received your photos we go through them and enhance them to bring out the colour, remove red-eye and sharpen (where possible). Depending on the life poster photo collage you have chosen, we may also convert some or all to black and white.
Then using our experience and creative eye, we individually place your photos in the collage to create the overall best effect. We crop the photos as needed – both to fit the frame and also to focus on particular details of the images.
When we’ve designed your life poster, we email you a proof to check before we go to print. Small changes are fine at this stage such as swapping a couple of photos round or altering a crop.
…printing
We print your collage on Epson professional printers using ultrachrome inks. The paper we use is Epson professional glossy photo paper – 255gsm. This level of quality means your life poster will be looking fantastic for years to come – assuming it’s not placed in direct sunlight! If you require a special finish such as a laminate (one customer wanted their life poster to go on the side of their fridge, so a laminate was applied to give the collage extra protection) then we can provide a quote to do this – you just need to ask.
…framing
If you have selected a life poster that is framed, we will frame it so it’s ready for you to hang straight on your wall. If your life poster requires mounting, then we use acid free mounts and backing board and seal the frame with framing tape.
…delivery
Unframed life posters are sent Royal Mail first class recorded. Framed life posters are sent via courier (UPS) and usually arrive the day after dispatch. Someone will need to be in to sign for both methods of delivery.
We take care over each and every life poster, using only the best materials, so you’ll have a stunning high quality work of art you can show off on your wall!
